Objective:

Plan and create a storyboard for a 30-second video using Apple Clips on the iPad, demonstrating basic film editing skills by incorporating video capture, media and posters, text, effects, and music.

Warm Up:

  2. How do different effects change the mood of a video?
  3. Can you think of a time when you watched a video that had a strong impact on you? What made it memorable?

Step 1: Understand Your Message

  • Think About Your Topic: What do you want your video to be about? Choose a clear message or theme.
  • Write It Down: Take a moment to write down your main idea.

Step 2: Create a Storyboard

  • What is a Storyboard? A storyboard is a visual plan that shows how your video will flow.
  • Draw Your Scenes: On a piece of paper, create boxes for each scene you plan to capture.
  • Include Key Elements:
    • Scenes: Write down what you want to show in each box.
    • VoiceOver: Plan what you will say in the video. Write the script for your VoiceOver in the storyboard.
    • Text: Decide if you want to add any text to your video. Write down what it will say.
