DLT:
Be able to apply overlay effects to video in order to convey an idea, achieve a feeling through cinematography, or achieve other special effects necessary to tell your story.
Activity:
- iMovie - You will create a 60 second (minimum) iMovie that makes use of video overlay (Picture-in-picture, split screen, etc.) as a key part of the cinematography or story you are telling. Be creative and innovative with ideas of what you can do with multiple videos/screens at once. Ideas include, but are not limited to:
- Interview yourself
- Create an Angel vs Devil conversation with your conscience
- Create a newscast or documentary
- Showcase events occurring in separate locations or separate times on the same screen
- Narrating a story or event
- Showcasing different points of view on a topic
- Showing something as a before and after
The use of the video overlay should be an integral part of your video/story. It should be well thought out and planned in your storyboard. Do not simply add it as an afterthought. We will be watching these videos in class. Bring your A game!!!!!
